More than ever, our eyes feast upon the opulent decadence laid before them 24/7 by the many brilliant electronic devices which create light. The artists of the world are blessed with the most creative, powerful and abundant tools than ever before in the history of mankind. And every day, yes truly, every day, they evolve, expand, and reinvent themselves faster than the weather changes in a mountain town.
Yet our poor ears, the bastard stepchildren to our eyes, are relegated to listening to sounds limited by acoustic technology over 100 years old. Architecture uses the latest in LCD and LED technology in HVAC controls and Media systems while Acoustics uses the same drywall invented in the late 1800’s and reinvented in 1916. Airplanes and Automobiles have HD video screens at every seat with earbuds that sound worse than our great-grandparent’s headphones which were invented in 1911.
Everyone loves music, a rock concert, waves crashing on the beach, a beautiful song, wind in the trees or The Opera. And at the core of each sound is it’s irrevocable ties to acoustics. The timbre, clarity and quality of each and every one of these sounds is governed by acoustics.
It is the idea of a future which sounds as good as it looks is what drives us. This idea is what drives us to create Innovation and Technologies previously unheard of: Acoustics so real you can’t tell the difference between it and the real thing. When playback of a recording is so real it sounds exactly the same as being there live, or better. Like Memorex for 2030.
The best part is that This Future exists now.
